Business Intelligence Developer

Your challenge

As a Business Intelligence Developer, you'll be part of the core BI team. The BI department serves as the central point of contact for reporting and data analysis across the Kinepolis Group, both in Europe and North America. You’ll ensure that users receive timely, accurate, and relevant insights to support informed decision-making.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for designing the data warehouse across the various architectural layers
  • You build BI solutions that integrate data from multiple source systems
  • You maintain and optimize ETL processes
  • You translate functional analyses into technical solutions
  • You develop, test, and document your code
  • You provide support for reporting issues raised by end users

Your technical experience and skills

  • You have experience with data modeling
  • You have thorough knowledge of the following technologies:
    • MS SQL Server Database Services
    • MS SQL Server Integration Services
    • MS SQL Server Analysis Services (tabular)
    • MS Power BI
    • MS Fabric (Dataflows and Pipelines)
  • Knowledge of the following tools is a plus:
    • MS SQL Server Reporting Services
    • Databricks
    • Notebooks (Python)

  • You have strong analytical skills
  • You are a communicative team player who collaborates professionally with other BI team members and internal customers
  • You are continuously looking for improvements, both functionally and in areas such as performance and security. You perform the necessary tests to ensure quality, correct application of our business logic, and accurate report creation.
  • You enjoy working in a complex, results-oriented environment with a strong focus on quality
  • You are fluent in both Dutch and English
  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
  • You closely follow technological developments in Microsoft BI
  • A passion for film and entertainment is a plus
