Business Controller

To insure the best quality in cinema experience for our customers, Kinepolis Group is able to lean on a vast group of supporting services. One of these is our department of Business Controlling, for which we are looking for a new colleague.

In short: our Business Controllers are responsible for a complete and qualitative delivery in time of the management reporting. They are the sparring and financial partners of the managers of specific Business Units or Departments. This implies a solid interpretation and analysis of the figures to help them make necessary decisions on different scales.

But what they do exactly? They focus on four core elements:


  • Business Reporting refers to all tasks and activities that generate accurate, timely and complete management information to create speed for the Business Unit Manager/Corporate Department Manager to take the right decisions & actions. This includes taking full responsibility of the necessary reporting and taking up the role as an advisor and devil’s advocate for the business.
  • Business Controlling refers to all activities and actions to support, advice and follow-up the business in the interpretation of figures in order to be a financial partner and sparring partner of the Business Unit/Corporate Department and in decision making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting refers to all activities and actions in order to support and coordinate the planning process within the scope.
  • Financial Modelling refers to supporting the Group Controller for financial modelling on, for instance, longterm business plans, impairment testing calculations IFRS and Statutory.



The learning curve is steep, let us be clear on that, but we’ll support you along the way. In the personal development of our colleagues, we focus on the necessary soft skills and technical skills to perform their roles. The learning process would be facilitated if your profile would match the following:


  • College degree in Business Engineering, Master Business and Economics or Master in Business Sciences with Specialization in Financial Analysis or Controlling
  • 5-10 Years of experience in a similar business controlling and Financial Planning & Analysis function
  • Thorough knowledge of management reporting and performance management
  • You feel at ease at offering constructive criticism and challenge your business partners at reviewing their demands and needs.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Elaborate knowledge of Performance Management Software (Management Reporting, OLAP, Budgeting, forecasting, consolidation …), TM1 experience is an asset.
  • Systems savvy: TM1, PBI, internal DWH, …
  • You have a broad ERP experience and at least basic knowledge level of IFRS and local GAAP
