To insure the best quality in cinema experience for our customers, Kinepolis Group is able to lean on a vast group of supporting services with specific expertise. One of these is our department of Treasury, for which we are looking for a new colleague.
In short: as a Treasury Analyst, you will be part of a team of 3 people that manages the Group’s liquidity, funding and risk management. The treasury functions of Kinepolis are maximally centralized at the Company’s international headquarters located in Ghent. You will report directly to the Group Treasury Manager.
But what would a Treasury Analyst do exactly? Here are some examples:
- You are responsible for the daily management of the reconciliation of bank accounting transaction activities.
- You monitor the Group’s cash position by managing cash balances across various bank accounts, currencies and entities. You execute short-term investments and funding operations.
- You ensure the correct and timely execution of all payments to third parties in accordance with the Group’s delegation of authority and adherence to payment cut off times.
- You prepare and analyze reports in the area of cash flow forecasting and budgeting.
- You assist in the monthly financial closing process, including accurate accounting & reporting of treasury transactions (e.g. month end reconciliations, mark to markets) and the monthly netting cycle.
- You analyze and report on financial risks, including foreign exchange, interest rate and counterparty credit risk.
- You actively monitor the firm’s electronic payment traffic and participate in projects related to electronic payments.
- You ensure compliance with Treasury policies and participate in ad hoc projects to improve current processes and technologies that facilitate operational efficiencies.
- You act as a liaison between many internal partners – both from the supporting services, as our movie theaters – and external partners, such as the banks, cash handling partners, and others.
And who are you?
- Not much experience yet? Not to worry: we aim to help you out from day one.
- The learning curve is somewhat steep, but a Master degree in Economics or a Bachelor in Economics with relevant experience, will help you a long way
- You like to work on day-to-day treasury activities with room for challenging projects.
- You have the natural ability to cooperate with different other departments throughout the Group and external relations.
- You feel comfortable maintaining international relations with our colleagues and banking partners across Europe, Canada and the United States. Here, you’ll need to be able to express yourself in Dutch, English and French
- You are analytical, rigorous and detail focused.
- You are self-motivated, pro-active and keen to grow and develop.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel is a plus.
- A passion for Treasury and finance related matters.
